Policy Advocacy Work Group
Mission: To leverage the power of the HENCE network to increase federal and state policy support for, and funding of, higher education community engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly action alerts for the web site.
- Educate DC lobbyists for Higher Ed about the community engagement agenda and funding
Leaders: Liz Hollander and George Mahaffey - Encourage HENCE support for ACE Solutions for the Future effort
Leader: Liz Hollander - Identify important congressional champions and facilitate campus connections to them through web list
Leader: Gail Robinson - Do state policy audit of support for higher education community engagement and encourage connections with other state policy entitities such as SHEEOs, State Service commissions etc.
